How we're serving up community support
Community means more during this crisis. Our goal is to unite them—supply partners, local authorities, and fellow citizens—by serving them.
Even when our restaurants are closed, we’re finding ways to come together to serve the community.
Our restaurants might still be closed, but our restaurants, crew members and local partners are helping us find new ways to continue being there for our communities.
It’s how we launched #Mta7dine: A program developed with a supply partner and local authorities in Morocco to help us deliver free, donated meals to the people we’re unable to serve from our restaurants. Since March 24, we’ve been sending out free meals—wraps, cheeseburgers, fries and more—to local hospitals and charity organizations.
#Mta7dine took another step forward at the start of Ramadan (April 23), when local authorities began working with us to help deliver food to our communities. Every day since, we’ve served meals in 19 cities around Morocco to help our fellow citizens during this crisis, with the majority of our deliveries being donated to child-focused charity groups in hospitals and orphanages.
Sometimes the idea of feeding and fostering communities can seem like a corporate mission statement and nothing more, but experiences like this show me it’s not. Together, we’re continuing to find ways to serve the people around us that need it most. Toujours unis.
